By Definition

By definition a bibliophile is a person who loves books.  By practice, a bibliophile is one of those people who drive their library nuts and is known by sight at their local book store, at least that's what's true in my case.

By definition a person who takes two sticks, some twisted fiber called yarn, and makes a garment using a simple technique by pulling one loop through another using those two sticks is called a knitter.  By practice, a knitter can be anyone and if you ask them they will say that they do a whole lot more then intertwine some yarn using simple loops.

By definition a person who takes a single stick with a hook on the end, some twisted fiber called yarn, and makes a garment using loops and twists is called a crocheter.  By practice, a crocheter is similar to the creature known as a knitter.

By definition Ravelry.com is a free online knit and crochet community which contains thousands of free patterns and as of November First, 1 million members.  By practice, Ravelry is facebook for knitters, but a whole lot more fun.

By definition a person who creates a blog just so they can share their experiences in reading, crochet, knitting, and Ravelry, not to mention to enter for prizes at http://www.phatfiber.blogspot.com/, should have their sanity checked.

By practice that person is me.
